The West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership is collaborating with the Ben Kinsella Trust as part of Knife Crime Awareness Week.
Join the community-based workshops, designed to support youth workers, practitioners, parents and carers, and wider communities with vital training on knife crime prevention.
Alongside the workshops, to support the ongoing Knife Crime Awareness campaigns there is also real-life stories and educational films which engage young people and communities leading to discussions about the consequences of knife crime.

What to expect?
In this 2 hour virtual training programme you will explore the following topics:
- Understanding knife crime from young peopleโs perspectives
- The signs and stages of child exploitationย
- Gangs and gang-life
- Exploring the link between trauma and exploitation
- Consider online harms, social media, slang and gang-related music
- Understanding how โissuesโ with peers can escalate and how young people can manage them.
- Empowering young people to prevent harm; the SAFE โTโs approach
- Having meaningful conversations about safety
