Community Leaders West Yorkshire (CLWY) members attended the Bridging the Gap in Therapy – UKind XR Conference on 3rd October 2025 at Nexus in Leeds.

The conference was a full-day event exploring how innovation, lived experience, and co-production are helping close gaps in therapy access for survivors of domestic abuse.

The conference brought together healthcare leaders, third-sector organisations, community groups, academic partners and digital innovators to share and discuss case studies, survivor stories, research, and cross-sector collaboration models.

The day included:

• Updates on UKind XR research and development
• Co-production panel discussions
• Lived experience keynote speakers
• VR therapy case studies for trauma and violence prevention
• The Red Flags Theatre performance
• Networking with health, wellbeing, and innovation partners
• Community Leaders West Yorkshire Members Presentations.

The conference was part of Part of Leeds Digital Festival 2025 & Domestic Abuse Awareness Month.
