Community Leaders West Yorkshire (CLWY) is a professional network for people who are leading community organisations and groups in West Yorkshire. Each member of CLWY has been through an intensive training programme which is recognised by the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management). This training programme, known as the Community Leader Program (CLP) is delivered in person, across all five districts of West Yorkshire, by Jones Consulting Ltd. CLWY has been funded by the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership and is part of a long term strategy to help reduce serious violence by equipping community leaders with the skills they need, to building a network of like minded individuals and strengthening links between communities and public sector partner organisations such as local councils, NHS and Police.
We are working towards a sustainable operating model for our network, while implementing our Theory Of Change. This allows us to measure the difference we are making in our communities.
Increasing Collaboration
We are helping our members develop their skills and their organisations. We are facilitating collaboration on bigger projects and offering network support.
We are working with our partner organisations to increase (two way) trust and confidence between the public sector and communities.
